DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

I declared a few years ago I would be my own boss and pay myself and give myself vacations galore and so on and so on…I decided no one was going to tell me when to come in to work and how long I get to eat my lunch! No one was going to make me sit in an office for 8 hours straight and answer a phone if I didn’t want to! I stood my ground and made a promise to myself that I was going to get there as FAST as I could!.. Fast forward to now aaaaand my bottom still hurts from sitting EIGHT. HOURS. STRAIGHT.

Just like a ton of us, we get this really super awesome life changing idea and then….that’s it. We never go beyond our daydreams of something that could potentially be better for us. We don’t look further than that initial thought. We don’t step out of our offices with our grand ideas and toss our papers we’ve been pushing for years at our boss and scream out an “I quit” speech of the century. We do not set out with a detail plan to execute our ideas either. We definitely don’t tell our friends and family (because a lot of us are afraid of what people think). We won’t admit it but we like to toss the “I’m too comfortably where I’m at” statement around so we don’t have to move forward. Another important and maybe the number one reason we do not jump on our ideas is that we don’t believe in ourselves. Our self esteem makes us feel like we are not worthy of a life that doesn’t keep us behind a desk all day. (*NEWSFLASH* You Are Deserving)

Whether you do a 9-5 or some other type of life sucking job you are not interested in and you lack passion and want out so bad, their is no need to stay where you are. Nothing is worse than the feeling of regret. Follow your dreams because you only get one life!
